It just gets better and better. :-)

Today we had more training, but things are starting to click.  I've had two really great talks with my boss (the CIO) so far.  Everyone is making me feel right at home.  I found out today that I graduated from high school with the trainers daughter.  We graduated in 1991...damn, hard to believe it's been almost 14 years!

Anyway, tomorrow we were supposed to meet with HR for our actual orientation, but that was postponed until Thursday.  Looks like we'll have more training tomorrow!  I hope my laptop comes in tomorrow.  It'll be nice to be able to start getting things configured and ready for development.

My boss showed me his new laptop today.  HOLY COW!  It's an Alienware “desktop replacement”.  Damn, the thing has 2gb of RAM, 2 100 gb hard drives in RAID1 configuration and a huge 17” display!  The thing sports 4 freakin' fans because it gets so hot.  Unfortunately, I won't be getting one of those. :-(
