After a 5-hour (4 in the car + 1 for eating/stopping along the way), 230 mile trip, we made it to the Wingate Inn in West Chester. The hotel isn't very busy which leads me to believe that the majority of the camp attendees are coming from the local area.
The suite (a must-have when bringing kids) is very nice and there's plenty of room for the kids to spread out. It's great that the room has a DVD player, although we did bring our portable for the drive (another must have when traveling with kids). My wife and kids will be exploring the surrounding area tomorrow while I'm in the sessions. If there is wireless connectivity in the meeting rooms, I'm gonna try to live-blog, but if not, I'll post my write-ups tomorrow night.
I forgot my laptop power cord (not the first time on a trip like this), so on our way through Dayton, we stopped at Best Buy and I picked up one of these:

A bit expensive, but it now has a permanent home in my laptop bag.
I also mistakenly turned off one of my computers at home before leaving. Not a big deal except this is the machine I normally connect to remotely (not sure what I was thinking when I shut it down). Ugh...unfortunately, noone back home can turn it on until tomorrow morning. Bummer.
