It looks like it's gonna be a nice day today (finally). The rain has really sucked, but we've already decided to come back out for a visit in October. :-)
*rant*
I consider going to a movie (unless it's a drive-in movie) to be a complete waste of time. I mean c'mon...let's spend $30 to sit in the dark, unable to talk for 2 hours. Not my idea of fun, regardless of the movie. I'd rather a) see the flick at the drive-in where we can talk or b) wait til the movie comes out on DVD and watch it in the comfort of my own home. Don't get me wrong though...there are some movies that need to be seen on the big screen (Saving Private Ryan, Star Wars, etc.)
*end rant*
Anyway, everyone decided to take the kids to see Cars last night. I said, “I've seen it twice, I don't want to sit through it again.” Well, instead of me being able to sit home and have a more enjoyable time watching VH-1 Classic, my wife and I went to see “The Break-up” with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston while our kids went with their aunt, uncle and cousins to see Cars again.
The movie was ok, but c'mon....$10 per ticket? $4 for a small soda? Almost $5 for a small popcorn (which I don't eat anyway)?
The movie was ok, but I was really surprised by the ending. Not what I expected. Vince Vaugh was pretty funny and Jennifer Aniston continues to be one of the hottest actresses around. :-) I'll take her over that fuckin' hippy Angelina Jolie any day. WTF was Brad Pitt thinking?
